North Carolina — Dr. Phil followed up Friday with a woman named Sue he met while helping with Hurricane Helene relief efforts in North Carolina last week.
She had flagged down a truck, which the famous TV talk show host was riding in to ask for help. A longtime fan of Dr. Phil, Sue had no idea he was inside. Her power was out, and she had no food, water or ability to travel.
McGraw and his team got to work.
In addition to hooking Sue up with communications, they are also helping Sue get her well water running again. "We're working on getting that done, and we're so glad you've got power, and that Starlink and those generators are cooking. And we've got a generator at your daughter's house now as well."
It was truly a mission of the heart for McGraw and his team.
Sue had suffered a heart attack two weeks before Hurricane Helene knocked out her power. Now that she has Starlink, she can send her medical telemetry reports to her cardiologist.
"Thank you so much, I've never had anybody be this good to me in my life," she told McGraw via video courtesy of her new connection.
