Phoenix — The Phoenix Suns' have been one of the hottest teams in the NBA so far this season. But maintaining that momentum just became a lot more challenging.

The 36-year-old Durant has been the driving force behind the Suns' 8-1 start, averaging 27.6 points and 6.6 rebounds per game through nine contests. The 14-time All-Star had previously been bothered by a left calf strain during the Paris Olympics this summer, before helping lead Team USA to a gold medal.

The Suns play host to the Sacramento Kings, Sunday.

Phoenix is 5-0 at home this season.
