London — Prince Harry is headed home, which could mean a family reunion is in the works. The Duke of Sussex is in London for the WellChild Awards, an event meant to celebrate the courage of terminally ill children in the U.K. and honor their caretakers. In recent years his appearances in the U.K. have been seriously limited, a change that came after he stepped down from his official role as an acting royal and moved to North America.
Amid his visit speculation is swirling about a potential reunion with his father, King Charles III. The two reportedly met in February for a brief 45-minute conversation following the King’s cancer diagnosis. However, the King is in Scotland enjoying his summer break and is expected to remain at Balmoral Castle in the coming days while Prince Harry is in town.
Prince Harry’s relationship with his family has been strained since he decided to step down as a working royal in 2020. In the years since he has done countless tell-all interviews about the inner workings of his family and even released a best-selling memoir in 2023, titled, Spare.
Buckingham Palace has not commented on any possible reunion between the two.
