The NFL is a multi-billion-dollar industry. Their players are millionaires that have access to private planes, top notch health care - literally the best of everything.
But according to a new report, these million-dollar athletes' food of choice isn’t steak or lobster or even sushi. Instead, hundreds of players around the NFL crave Uncrustables. No seriously - Uncrustables.
According to The Athletic - NFL teams are consuming at least 80,000 of these frozen peanut butter and jelly sandwiches throughout the season.
24 of the NFL’s 32 teams agreed to go public with this coveted information. The story revealed the Denver Broncos devour the most Uncrustables in the league at 700 per week. That's more than twice as the other participating teams.
Now while these BP & J sandwiches do contain protein, carbohydrates and fat, by no means are they the healthiest of snacks for professional athletes. But yet and still a large number of NFL players swear by them.
Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelcie, said on his podcast, "New Heights" - he ingests more Uncrustables, “than anything in the world.”
