Dallas, Texas — Jerry Jones is both the general manager and owner of The Dallas Cowboys. While Jones The GM has had some challenges getting 'America's Team' back to The Super Bowl (a place they haven't been since Jan. 28th, 1996); Jones The Owner is the most affluent person in The NFL.
According to Sportico, the Dallas Cowboys are the first sports team ever to surpass the $10 billon threshold in value. Sportico has released its annual valuations of the most valuable teams in The NFL and currently the Cowboys are towering above the competition, with an estimated value of $10.32 billion. The Los Angeles Rams are ranked second on the list by Sportico at $7.79 billion.
The Dallas Cowboys have been Forbes most valuable sports franchise for the past 16 years and counting. Forbes valued The Cowboys at $9 billion in September. The fact that Jones originally purchased the team for $150 million back in 1989 seems comical to some now.
Someone not laughing about the Cowboys astronomical wealth is their star wideout, CeeDee Lamb. He has missed all of the team's training camp while attempting to negotiate a contract extension. Knowing the Cowboys fiscal worth may force Lamb to hold out for a few more million dollars.
