The Texas Rattlers remain unbeaten at home

Fort Worth, TX — There are three guarantees in life... Death, taxes, and the Texas Rattlers winning on their home dirt.

The defending PBR Teams champions defended their home turf successfully Thursday night, defeating the Oklahoma Wildcatters 262.25 - 0.00. The Rattlers are now a perfect 7-0 in their hometown of Fort Worth, TX - going back to 2022 when the PBR Teams league initially launched.

Oklahoma did not get off to the type of start they wanted. Eduardo Matos, who has the fifth highest ride percentage in the league this season, was bucked off in 6.04 seconds by Triple Aught. Matos scoreless leadoff foreshadowed the following rides for the Wildcatters. Tate Pollmeier went scoreless against Black Ice.  Austin Richardson only lasted 3.11 seconds on Black Tie. Teenage sensation, Clay Guiton could not change the trend for Oklahoma. Facing a must-ride in the top of the fourth, Guiton was tossed by Washita Red in 4.43 seconds. Dustin Herman was the Wildcatters' last shot at getting on the scoreboard. Rank Frank kept Oklahoma scoreless, bucking Herman in 4.09 seconds, bringing an end to a heartbreaking Game 1 for the Wildcatters.

Meanwhile, The Rattlers came out the gate strong, led by Brady Fielder. The home crowd saw firsthand why Fielder is second in the MVP race. Fielder stayed atop of Desert Twister to earn an impressive score of 89.25 to set the tone for Texas. Daniel Keeping would follow Fielder's lead, scoring 87.75 points (vs Renegade). Claudio Montanha Jr. went scorless against Hell Right after 5.22 second ride. But Marcelo Procopio Pereira would pick up the slack in the bottom of the fourth, holding on to Warlock for 85.25 points. Closer Joao Ricardo Vieira was was thrown off by Bruised Ego in 3.81 seconds, but the outcome was already decided. Texas now leads the season series against Oklahoma, 2-1.

The Rattlers are hitting their stride at the right time of the season. After starting the season 2-7 through their first nine games. With their Thursday night shutout victory over Oklahoma, Texas has bounced back to win 11 of their last 15 games. Texas will continue their homestead Friday night against their in-state rivals, the Austin Gamblers.
