West Palm Beach, Florida — Merit TV has declared Donald Trump will become the 47th president of the United States.
"America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate. We have taken back control of the Senate... wow," said Trump, 78, during his victory speech. "It also looks like we will be keeping control of the House of Representatives. This day will be remembered as the day Americans took back control of their country."
A win in Wisconsin ensures his historic comeback and defeat of Vice President Kamala Harris, 60. Trump’s victory makes him just the second president to be elected in non-consecutive cycles, joining Democrat Grover Cleveland — who was picked as the 22nd president in 1884 and the 24th president in 1892, with Republican Benjamin Harrison of Indiana serving four years in between.
Trump's running mate, JD Vance will become the 50th Vice President of the United States.
"We just witnessed the greatest political comeback in the history of American history!" said Vance.
